NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  Country mainstay Tracy Lawrence is celebrating his three-decade-long career with a commemorative Live at Billy Bob’s Texas album, available everywhere today. Filmed back in October 2022 at the World’s Largest Honky Tonk, his long-time fans can now listen along as if they were at the show, experiencing Lawrence’s biggest hits reimagined. The thunderous applause that opens the album sets the tone for the entire project, as you can hear the rowdy audience singing along to every classic lyric. The 18-song project highlights Lawrence’s staying power and how his traditional Country style has resonated with generations of fans.

“This live recording is a great way to celebrate the fans and the moments we’ve shared on stage over the years,” shares Lawrence. “Being able to come back time and time again to Billy Bob’s and feel the passion of the Texas crowd is always a treat for me and the band.”

 

Highlights of the setlist include some of his biggest songs like “Find Out Who Your Friends Are,” “Paint Me A Birmingham” and “Time Marches On” which shows their long-lasting effect on the Country genre. Lawrence’s delivery is seasoned yet vivacious, and as an added surprise, Lawrence puts his own spin on two of the genre’s all-time biggest songs “In Color” and “The Devil Went Down To Georgia.” The former is tender and with Lawrence’s signature twang brings new depth to the timeless classic. The latter is an immediate show-stopper with an exhilarating fiddle and a fresh take on an iconic hit. The album then wraps up with two encore tracks, “I See It Now” and “Better Man, Better Off.”

The building that houses Billy Bob’s Texas was built in 1910 and was once a barn to house prized cattle for the Fort Worth Stock Show, it has housed an auction ring, livestock events, an airplane factory during WWII and even a department store. The venue/entertainment center officially opened in 1981 and for the past 42 years has been an iconic venue for Country music’s biggest acts to perform.

 

Although the Country icon has played the famous Fort Worth, Texas venue over 30 times, each performance continues to bring its own unique southern energy. Lawrence will take the same stage tonight, bringing his traditionalist twang and smash hits from the last 30 years to celebrate the release of this album.
